I have carefully watched time flow to this point, like multiple rivers inevitably leading to the same ocean. Everything I have done has been to prevent the looming darkness, but I seem to have only delayed it. Many of the safeguards I built to halt the machinations of evil have been defeated. Malevolent forces are beginning to reveal their long-laid, malicious plans to unravel our world. An age of darkness and strife will soon begin.

          Despite our saga nearing its possible end, I will not despair, for when the darkness overwhelms, radiance shines its brightest. This will be a time when heroes must take up the banner of hope to ward off the coming calamity. I work tirelessly to find and support these champions while rebuilding bulwarks against the shadows... yet I often feel alone in this task. Cressedea and Helesteus, I wish you both were here to help. Perhaps you are, or perhaps I am so desperate for your company that I am imagining it. I feel an echo of your power in a pair of enigmatic twins. For good or ill, I am confident these two will play a vital role in the tale yet to come.
